The best Latex editor ▋
Moving latex code to subfiles
Our LaTeX editor, a powerful alternative to Overleaf, comes with a handy "Move to File" feature that lets you organize your code efficiently.

Highlight the Code You Want to Move
Select the portion of your LaTeX document you’d like to move to a separate file. In the example, we’ve highlighted a paragraph of text that we want to extract. From the context menu, choose the "Move to File" option. This will prompt you to create a new file or select an existing one.

Name Your New File
In the "Send selection to file" dialog box, type a name for the new file where your selected code will be moved. For example, as shown, you might name it subfile.tex. If the file already exists, the code will be appended to it.
Clicking "Save" will create the file and transfer the selected code into this .tex file. Crixet will then automatically insert an \input{subfile.tex} command at the exact location in your original document to seamlessly link the new file.
